Vivo has officially launched the Vivo T5 5G in India on September 2, 2026. The new smartphone joins Vivo’s T-series lineup and targets buyers looking for strong performance, a large battery and a premium display.

The Vivo T5 5G comes with several notable upgrades. These include a 7,050mAh battery, a 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor. The smartphone also supports 5G connectivity and runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

The phone is available in Royal Bronze and Silver Green colour options. Its slim design is another major highlight, especially considering the large battery inside the device.

Vivo T5 5G Price in India

The Vivo T5 5G price in India starts at ₹34,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at ₹39,999.

The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs ₹44,999. Meanwhile, the top-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at ₹49,999.

Vivo is also offering bank discounts on selected cards. Customers using Axis Bank, SBI and HDFC Bank cards can get an instant discount of up to ₹4,000, according to the launch information.

The Vivo T5 5G will go on sale in India from September 9 through Flipkart

Large 7,050mAh Battery

One of the biggest attractions of the Vivo T5 5G is its battery.

The smartphone packs a 7,050mAh battery, which is larger than what many smartphones in this price segment offer. Vivo claims that the battery can provide around 22 hours of video streaming on a single charge.

The battery supports 44W wired fast charging. This combination is designed for users who spend long hours watching videos, playing games, browsing social media and using mobile applications.

The large battery also makes the Vivo T5 5G appealing to people who do not want to charge their smartphone frequently.

144Hz Curved AMOLED Display

The Vivo T5 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

A high refresh rate can make scrolling and animations look smoother. It can also improve the experience during compatible games.

The display offers up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour coverage and HDR10+ support. Vivo has also added a 300Hz touch sampling rate.

The curved design gives the phone a more premium appearance while keeping the overall body slim.

MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo Processor

Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. The processor is built using a 4nm process and is paired with the MediaTek NPU 850 for on-device AI features.

Vivo says the phone can achieve more than 1.2 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark. However, real-world performance can vary depending on software, applications and usage conditions.

The phone uses LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. These specifications are aimed at delivering faster app loading and smoother multitasking.

Camera Features

The Vivo T5 5G has a dual-camera system on the rear.

The main camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is supported by an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

OIS can help reduce the effects of hand movement when users take photos or record videos. The smartphone also supports video recording at up to 4K resolution.

For selfies and video calls, the Vivo T5 5G includes a 32MP front camera

Durability and Software

The Vivo T5 5G has IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The company also highlights military-grade durability for the device.

On the software side, the smartphone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo has promised three major operating system upgrades and five years of security updates.

The phone also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and a range of connectivity options, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.

Vivo T5 5G: Is It Worth Considering?

The Vivo T5 5G enters a highly competitive segment in the Indian smartphone market. Its combination of a large battery, curved AMOLED display, high refresh rate and Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor gives it several strong selling points.

The starting price of ₹34,999 puts the smartphone in competition with several performance-focused 5G devices. Buyers will therefore compare its camera performance, gaming capabilities, software experience and charging speed before making a decision.

Overall, the Vivo T5 5G launched in India with a feature-rich package aimed at users who want long battery life and premium hardware without moving into the flagship price range.

With sales beginning on September 9, the phone’s long-term appeal will depend on real-world performance and how it compares with competing smartphones in the same price range.
