Bombay High Court Orders CBI Investigation
The Bombay High Court has ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the death of Disha Salian, the former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The order was passed on September 2, 2026, after the court considered a petition filed by Salian’s father, Satish Salian.
A division bench comprising Justices Sarang V. Kotwal and Ranjitsinha R. Bhonsale directed the CBI to register a First Information Report (FIR) and conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Salian’s death in June 2020.
The court also directed the CBI to appoint a senior and experienced officer for the investigation. The officer has been asked to record the statement of Satish Salian and examine the circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death.
Disha Salian Died in June 2020
Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020, in Mumbai’s Malad area. She was 28 years old. Reports said that she fell from a residential building, and the circumstances surrounding her death have remained the subject of public debate for years.
Her death attracted additional attention because actor Sushant Singh Rajput died six days later, on June 14, 2020. Salian had worked as his former manager. The two deaths generated widespread discussion and speculation on social media and in public forums.
